Job Position: Senior Manager Job Title: Plant Manager - Permanent Department:
Management Section: SECTION A: POSITION DESCRIPTION 1.0 Principal objective of
the Job: Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the plant
activities ensuring the most effective return on assets and the highest
quality standards. Ensure that the unit managers and seniors are aligned and
committed on GMP adherence and cost effective operations. Identify and
recommend process improvements. 2.0 Organizational Relationship (Reporting
Relationship: Reporting to, Reportees, Support sections/group, interfaces with
senior management/clients etc.) • Reports to MD/Management Committee. •
Interacts with entire Management team. • Interacts with clients and suppliers.
3.0 Major responsibilities related to the Position: • Review & recommend
processes improvement to optimize cost through effective utilization of
resources. • Ensure the plant compliance to High Standard GMP. • Set up a
competent self-reliant in-house technical support unit for machine/equipment
troubleshooting. SECTION B: JOB DESCRIPTION 4.0 Main tasks, duties and
responsibilities related to the Job: • Set standards (benchmarking) for
operating parameters of production lines / equipment with optimal number of
manpower & shift schedules. • Recommend improvement in the manufacturing
processes on effective utilization of resources. • Lead the efforts to
identify, recommend, and implement processes & technology to introduce new
know-how for automation. • Direct the team to upgrade the facilities and
processes to meet High Standard GMP standards. • Set up a technical support
unit capable of troubleshooting / maintenance of plant machines & equipment to
eliminate external support needs. • Direct & manage the production,
engineering, maintenance and quality sections. • Optimize machinery and
equipment with regular maintenance programs. • Ensure uninterrupted plant
operation to meet sales plans and business objectives. • Act as the point of
contact for coordinating the sales needs as per the approved forecast. •
Recommend and implement effective cost control measures. • Lead the efforts
related to the manufacturing facility expansion projects and ensure the
completion of the activities with time and cost effectiveness. • Improve
efficiency of each functional area as specified by the project team through
individual accountability of stakeholders. • Provide effective leadership in
all quality related aspects to achieve organizational objective. • Develop and
implement the Quality department's strategy, to ensure that it meets the
business requirements and customer deliverables, as well as ensuring the
departmental performance against set goals. • Improve the Quality Management
System to ensure its compliance with cGMP. • Maintain and develop Quality Risk
Management system to ensure that risks are adequately controlled in accordance
with all requirements. • Maintain an environment that encourage team-work,
empowerment and commitment. • Insure latest production management best
practices and concepts are implemented where applicable. SECTION C: PERSON
SPECIFICATION 5.0 Education: • Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy / Industrial
Engineering or related degree • MBA is a plus 6.0 Knowledge: • cGMP and FDA
guidelines • Drug Manufacturing (Sterile Injectable) • Industry standards,
Equipment & Machine specification • Project Management • SAP (ERP) Exposure. •
Planning and Implementation • Strategic & Creative Thinking • Leadership &
Managerial Attributes. • Critical Thinking & Problem solving • Communication

Control 8.0 Experience: • Proven work experience as a Plant Manager in Europe
