Job Description:

He/She leads his section and organizes all aspects of the hotel butler service
to the highest professional standards and in accordance with the Standard
Operating Procedures. He /She is directly responsible in coordinating with the
other departments concerned for a smooth operation e.g. the Housekeeping, the
Front Desk, the Concierge, the Laundry, the Food & Beverage, Sports Center and
BCC. Respect the privacy of individual as well as the formalities, culture and
sense of place. He is a member of the Evacuation Team.

  Inspects Butler work areas for cleanliness and neatness.

  Ensures that all equipment are well maintained and used in the correct manner.

  Inspects Butlers ensuring that they are well-groomed and that uniforms are complete, clean and conform to the standard.

  Liaises closely with a reception on arrivals, departures and room allocations.

  Liaise closely with the Housekeeping on room servicing and turn down service.

  
  


• 
  

  Monitors performance of individual Butlers.

  Deals with problems reported to him by Butlers, other staff, Department Heads and Senior Management staff within his area.

  Assists guests with requests or problems.

  Checks personally all VIP rooms before arrival in respect of supplies and preferences.

  Conducts random checking of occupied and arrival rooms.

  Conducts hands-on training sessions.

  Liaise with the Head Butler/ Director of Services on planning, training and departmental improvement.

  Attends meetings as directed by the Head Butler/Director of Services.

  Informs the Head Butler/ Director of Services of any problems encountered during shift.

  Ensures the Butlers perform all tasks to the standard required.

  Acts promptly on issues and concerns in his field of jurisdiction.

  Abides to the list of the daily tasks and ensures their timely implementation.

  Is responsible along with the Head Butler/Director of Services in training the Butlers on evacuation in the event of emergency situations in coordination with the Safety and Security Manager.

  Maintains the first aid boxes with proper items and supplies.

  Is responsible and the Head Butler/Director of Services in training the Butlers on performing first-aid to the guests in need of this service in coordination with the House Doctor.

  Recommends to the Head Butler/Director of Services proper scheduling according to the guest demand.

  He carries out duties that may be assigned to him from time to time by his superiors.
