KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
* receive the materials supplied by the vendor as per the purchase order placed by the Purchase Department
* Follow the rejected items with Procurement dept
* Follow inspection status with end user and closing PO on time
* Follow all standards for issuing and receiving stock within the store's area of operation.
* Check the materials thoroughly for quality, quantity, specification condition, etc.
* Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
* categories the materials category wise and stock in the appropriate locations.
* take appropriate action for care and preservation of the materials.
* Periodical stock verification and always ensure correctness of stock.
* Investigating inventory shortages and discrepancies
* Work closely with Purchasing to order and receive items and Material.
* Mediate any confrontations between staff and clients and de-escalate the situation.
* Analysis the aging of stocks & communicate the management about obsolete Stock.
* Strong coordination with team, user departments
* inspect items from any breakages and damages.
* Ensure that the store is kept clean and organized.
* Assist stores keeper in managing inventory controls.
* Ensure that Stores staff is in good attendance, well presented and all work is carried out in compliance with DP World Safety Environment Policy and SOPs.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
* Related Work Experience , Minimum 3 years
* Professional Training in Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment
* Education: Degree or equivalent, additional Logistic accreditation.
* Spoken / Written Languages: Basic Arabic, English
* Computer Skills:Experienced in Office Applications, preferred in Maximo
* Safety & Environment: Awareness of Safety and Environment Procedures, Fully conversant with Safety and Environment Best Practices
* Must be organized and punctual, Ability to safely and legally operate a forklift
