Job Overview:
- As a Material Control Specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing
supplies and stock and ordering an accurate quantity of materials
- You will also maintain and analyze supplier ratings while acting as a point
of contact as needed.
Input customer orders and forecast and ensure appropriate Finished Good
inventory levels are met
- Place material order and forecasts to the supplier to maintain appropriate
levels of materials for production to avoid stock out
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Control supplies and stock by timely planning the correct quantity of
materials, while at the same time optimizing the stock on hand.
• Perform basic data processing and parameter administration in the Material
Planning system.
• Support on-going series production, parts run-in and run-out, and processing
of technical changes within this scope is the minimization of obsolescence
costs.
• Maintain and analyze monthly Supplier rating and yearly SUMIS (Supplier
Management Information System) rating information as applicable.
• Movement of non-conforming material from receiving, production line and
communicating with Purchasing, Quality Control (QC) and supervision on
disposition of material.
• Maintain finite metrics on materials discrepant to requirements.
• Support deliveries of capital spares and warranty needed material.
• Monitor consumable and consignment material.
• Maintain logistics deliverables - i.e. routing/footprint/movement.
• Transports materials or inspects building, equipment and other items.
• Submitting monthly reports for inventory stock.
• Do inventory check each month, quarter semiannual.
• Any and all other responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, as
assigned by supervisor/manager. Any interpretation/clarification with
