NEOM THE LINE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Surveyor to join our team in
NEOM. Parsons is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for
the development of NEOM Infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. NEOM is
a planned cross-border city in the Tabuk Province of northwestern Saudi
Arabia. The site is near the Red Sea and the borders of Egypt, Israel, and
Jordan. It will cover a total area of ‎26,500 km2 (‎10,200 sq mi) and will
extend ‎460 km along the coast of the Red Sea.

What You 'll Be Doing
* Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with contractors to engender compliance with specified requirements
* Maintaining a holistic view of surveying on site and upcoming works to plan and organize own workload to ensure surveillance of contractors' is commensurate with ongoing construction activities
* Ensuring contractors' surveying personnel are qualified and adequately experienced to perform assigned tasks
* Collecting and processing of survey data, and its assessment against specified tolerances
* Identifying surveying anomalies and inaccuracies, escalating issues as required to ensure satisfactory resolution
* Collecting, collating and reporting upon surveying measurements using prescribed software
* Measuring and maintaining survey controls across site using requisite measurement methods, recording and issuing such data to the wider construction teams for use on site
* Reviewing and commenting upon contractors' surveying and measurement procedures
* Ensuring contractors follow their surveying and measurement procedures and as required, ensuring the issuing, following up and closing out NCRs
* Promoting contractors' self-regulation in issue of NCRs and, if not undertaken issuing THE LINE NCRs, accordingly
* Reviewing results of contractor nonconformance root cause analyses, the instigation of correction proposals, and validating and reporting on the effectiveness of corrective actions taken to prevent recurrence
* Expediting NCR close-out within individual agreed deadlines
* Highlighting nonconformance trends and driving the development and conduct of improvement initiatives
* Recording lessons learned and sharing knowledge gained to the wider team
* Developing and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of construction drawings, construction activities, ITP surveying intervention points and verification records
* Guiding and mentoring contractors regarding technical detail and best practice
* Prompt reporting of safety violations & promoting H&S awareness of contractors
What Required Skills You 'll Bring
* BSc in Land / Engineering Surveying
* ‎5 years working on large scale, heavy civils projects
* Fluent English language abilities, document and technical report writing
* Excellent inter-personal skills at all levels
* Adept in use of contemporary surveying equipment
* Practiced in surveying software and Microsoft Office
* Survey data processing and quality checking
* Establishment & maintenance of survey networks
* Basic proficiency in AutoCAD
* H&S management practice aware
