Job Opening for IT Support for a Gaming Company.
We are looking for IT Support Technician for our Gaming sector in Sharq.
Prefer candidates from the Gaming sector .
Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support: Provide prompt and effective technical assistance to
customers regarding gaming consoles, PCs, virtual reality (VR) setups, gaming
accessories, and related equipment. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
to ensure optimal performance.
2. Network Management: Monitor and maintain the network infrastructure to
ensure stable and reliable internet connectivity for gaming stations. Identify
and resolve network-related problems to deliver seamless online gaming
experiences.
3. Gaming System Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain gaming consoles,
PCs, VR setups, and gaming peripherals to ensure they are in proper working
condition. Perform software updates and maintenance tasks as needed.
4. Software and Application Support: Assist customers with game
installations, updates, and account-related issues. Ensure all gaming software
and applications are up-to-date and running smoothly.
5. Security Measures: Implement and maintain security measures to protect
gaming systems, network, and customer data. Monitor for potential security
threats and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
6. Customer Assistance: Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and
helpful manner. Answer inquiries, provide gaming recommendations, and address
technical questions to enhance customer satisfaction.
7. Equipment Inventory: Keep track of gaming equipment inventory, including
consoles, PCs, VR headsets, controllers, and gaming accessories. Conduct
regular audits and maintain accurate records.
8. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and follow a preventive maintenance
schedule for gaming systems and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure
longevity.
9. Staff Training: Provide training sessions for fellow staff members on
technical procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and customer support best
practices.
10. Quality Control: Perform regular checks on gaming stations and equipment
to maintain the highest quality gaming experience for customers.
11. Event Support: Assist with the setup and technical requirements for
gaming events, tournaments, and promotions hosted at the gaming center.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in technical support and IT-related roles, preferably in
a gaming environment.
2. Strong knowledge of gaming consoles, PCs, virtual reality technology, and
gaming software.
3. Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
4. Familiarity with network configurations and basic network troubleshooting.
5. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple
tasks simultaneously.
7. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
8. Passion for gaming and a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the
latest gaming trends and technologies.
9. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical
certifications or coursework in IT-related fields are a plus.
