Planning Specialist (OSRA Project)

Pathfinder International is seeking a Planning Specialist for the newly USAID-
funded OSRA program. The OSRA program is five-year Pathfinder-led USAID-funded
Program. The goal of the OSRA program is to improve family health outcomes by
reinforcing the national family planning and reproductive health (FP/RH)
program in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP). The
OSRA program will achieve this purpose through the three pivotal results: ‎1)
Women's and men's uptake and continuation of voluntary family planning
services increased; ‎2) Youth equipped with knowledge and skills necessary to
make healthy life choices; and ‎3) Gender dynamics improved for enhanced
voluntary family planning and reproductive health outcomes. The OSRA program
will closely collaborate with different local stakeholders and other
Government of Egypt (GOE) entities to attain its results.
Job Summary* : The Planning Specialist will work closely with Field
Implementation Team Lead. S/he will be responsible for developing and managing
project plans, as well as coordinating with other teams to ensure that all
aspects of the project are on track.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare OSRA Program base line time schedules.
* Monitoring and tracking project progress, updating the schedule, and writing up reports.
* Attending and scheduling meetings as required.
* Conduct periodical field visits to monitor the progress.
* Coordinating with other departments to ensure that all aspects of the project are on track.
* Assist with training staff on the use of various software programs
* Prepare periodical implementation reports.
* Grab and document success stories.
* Perform other related duties as require and assigned.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
* Degree in Engineering or similar.
* At least ‎3 years hands-on experience in planning and scheduling.
* Strong personality with strong leadership capabilities.
* Foundational knowledge of CPM.
* Mastering of Microsoft Project.
* Planning and project management skills.
* Essential computer literacy (word, excel, power point and internet).
* Well-organized self-starter with great attention to detail and be able to handle stress well.
* Able to analyze data, write reports, and deliver presentations
* Proven ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express complex and technical terminology and concepts in a clear and comprehensible manner.
* Excellent command of the English language.
