Managing Consultant, Advisors Client Services
Overview
Mastercard Advisors, the professional services arm of MasterCard Worldwide,
provides payments-focused consulting services (including business strategy,
proposition & operating model design, performance optimisation, marketing,
information and risk management) to financial institutions and merchants
worldwide.
With its unique payments expertise, deep understanding of customer needs and
successful track record in addressing complex challenges throughout the
payments lifecycle, Mastercard Advisors has established a strong track record
of successfully addressing the challenges and opportunities of its clients
Role
The Managing Consultant is an active team member who contributes to projects
and manages workstreams within engagements for MasterCard Advisors clients.
Whilst this individual is not expected to be a subject matter expert in the
payment cards industry, they should demonstrate expertise in consulting
engagement management experience and professional problem-solving skills.
* Contribute towards development of strategies and programs for large, strategically important regional and global clients
* Build strategies, propositions & operating models independently or as part of a consulting team
* Rigorously and logically identify issues and potential solutions to client problems
* Obtain data from multiple sources, collate, analyze, and triangulate information to develop reliable fact bases
* Apply a range of quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to rigorously identify client issues and validate hypothesis
* Synthesize analyses into clear, sound recommendations; take responsibility for structuring and writing sections of reports and steering committee presentations at a works stream or project level where required.
* Assume individual workstreams responsibility within an engagement.
* Confidently deliver presentations to internal and external clients
* Plan, organize and structure own work and that of Analysts
* Develop effective working relationships with mid- to senior-level client management
* Proactively seek new knowledge and structure their client work to facilitate the capture of Intellectual Capital
* Support MasterCard Advisors and local market account teams in client relationship management and business development efforts
* Work at client sites and / or remotely as required

All About You
* ‎6-‎9 years consulting experience at a top-rated firm or equivalent business management experience and/or internal consulting experience in a major financial institution
* Advanced degree or MBA preferred
* Professional level English and Arabic language capability
* Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills, including the proven ability to interpret large amounts of data, some of it ambiguous, and translate it into concise rational output that includes recommendations based upon core findings.
* Strong presence & communication skills - both interpersonal & written
* Excellent client management & engagement management skills
* Proven team player with proven ability to work with all levels in a highly intellectual, collaborative, and fast paced environment
* Willingness to travel
