Team Overview:
DiDi Mobility Egypt LLC. is looking for a Financial Business Partner to manage
the end-to-end operations of its mobility business in Egypt. This role reports
to DiDi's MEA Financial Controller. Close liaison with DiDi Finance,
Operation, and Business Development Team is required.
Role Responsibilities:
* Financial Budget, Forecast, Business Case Formulation
* Support annual financial budgeting exercise and subsequent budget updates
* Support monthly closing and forecasting exercises in the collaboration with Operation and Business Development team; Preparation of business cases accordingly to product development and operating strategy
* Support internal reviews and prepare reports for DiDi HQ

Financial Analysis to Support Operations / Business Development
* Engage with business partners over the performance result and model financial performance of upcoming actions
* Engage with external consultancy / in-house team in Beijing HQ or Regional HQ over back-end finance functions like Legal, HR, Treasury, Tax, and Accounting
* Provide external consultancy about the business nature of the ride-hailing business and provide the in-house team with country-specific statutory considerations
* Exercise first-line expense control; Conduct analysis on expense structure to ensure spending effectiveness and productivity
* Reporting and Management Presentation
* Act as the point of contact for all financial subject matters in the country
* Responsible for preparing regular and ad-hoc performance review presentations
* Respond to queries from the FP&A Team and provide early warnings to management
* Participate and drive an automation project to facilitate daily topline performance reporting
* Cash Management and Expense Control
* Prepare cash-flow statements and manage cash usage
* Manage cash injection statutory process
* Approve expenses according to policy
* Justify expense efficiency and analyze return on investment; Propose a path to improve efficiency
* Financial Operations Support
* Maintain and execute financial policies and procedures
* Serve as a supporting focal in liaison with other Finance functions including but not limited to Accounting, Tax, Treasury / Payables
* Support communication on controllership functions including Legal, Internal Audit, and Business Controls
* Enforce Business Control policy and ensure actions comply with the established delegation of authority or approval process
* Engage annual financial audit with external auditors
Role Qualifications:
Qualifications
* University graduate in the domain of Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related disciplines
* Preferably 3-5 years of relevant experience in the domain of financial analysis
* Prior experience with management consulting, Big-4, or MNC would be a strong plus
* Prior working experience in the hi-tech industry or Chinese corporation is an advantage, but not mandatory
* Passionate about technology and innovation; A basic understanding of App-Hailing and the industry is required
* Proficiency in written and verbal Arabic AND English is mandatory
* Proficiency in Chinese is a strong plus but not mandatory
Other Requirements
* Fundamental knowledge of indirect tax
* Possess strong business and commercial acumen
* Possess the ability to identify business insights behind financial numbers and reports
* Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time independently under conditions of uncertainty, ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
* Demonstrate integrity and professionalism
* Occasional domestic travel between Egypt cities is expected
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and financial modeling is a must
