Financial Controller
(based in 6th October, Egypt)
Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting
* Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations
Identify, develop and execute analysis of business initiatives and / or new
service offerings
* Manage financial planning and analysis of the company
* Supervise creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting
* Participate in weekly meetings with the leadership Team
* Communicate, engage and interact with the Shareholders, Board of Directors and the leadership team of the company
* Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational models
* Define & implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by the leadership team
Any other responsibility as given by the corporate office and leadership team
Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and Operations
* Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems and supervise company financial staff
* Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
* Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for company's shareholders and board of directors
* Oversee the preparation and communication of periodic financial statements
* Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all statutory & regulatory filings
Work with various departments to ensure appropriate legal compliance
* Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies
* Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts,
balance sheet accounts and cost allocation
* Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
* Hire, develop and manage managers and staff
Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and
support of all internal & external audits
* Coordinate and strategize methods used to attain corporate goals
* Coordinate & supervise working with shared service centre based outside the country
* Active involvement in implementation of SAP finance workstreams

Financial Management
* Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability
* Maintain outstanding strategic alliances with vendors and business partners
* Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization's plans and operating budgets
* Oversee daily cash management and AP Department, approve large payables, sign checks and authorize large wires
* Supervise Accounts Receivable management and provide guidance relating to the collection process
* Develop financial strategies
Tax & legal compliance
* Oversee tax review and finalizing for corporate tax, employee tax, VAT, customs and all other types of direct & indirect taxes
* Planning, optimization & restructuring
* Supervising & finalizing transfer pricing reports
* Review & compliances of Board of Investment (BOI)
* Compliance of all tax and legal matters of the entities
* Develop tax strategies
Financial Controller (FC) - Position Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
* Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA or equivalent preferred
* ‎5 years minimum experience at same or similar position in a large (US$‎100 million+) multinational company
* ‎15+ years of total accounting or finance experience with manufacturing company
* Experience of working in petrochemical industry will be preferred
* Outstanding knowledge and understanding of IFRS / local GAPP
* Background coordinating with IT staff to manage and / or upgrade accounting system. Systems implementation experience strongly preferred.
* "Hands On" ERP Systems Experience - SAP Required
* Experience of Hyperion consolidation software shall be preferred
* Outstanding communication and presentation skills
* Very good command on Microsoft excel & PowerPoint
* Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence - ability to motivate staff
* Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
* Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues
