Job Description

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible to lead the Supply Chain functions for
the Egypt Joint Venture (JV). This person will be accountable for an effective
Supply Chain which enables efficient local production, delivers to customer
expectations, and supports the overall business strategy. Functional
responsibilities include Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP),
Procurement, and Order & Logistics Management.

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible to lead teams, drive execution, and
champion continuous improvement. He/She should be able to work at both a
leadership level and an operational level. In a JV environment, the Supply
Chain Manager will need to successfully engage within a complex structure.
He/She will report directly to the General Manager

The Successful Applicant

• Degree Supply Chain, Business Analytics, or a relevant field


• APICS / CPIM certification a plus


• ‎10+ years' experience in manufacturing, operations and/or supply chain management


• Familiarity with ESH, Risk management and procedural best practices in SCM


• Experience with ERP programs (SAP desirable)


• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, relational databases, Forecasting and Inventory Tools


• Analytical mindset coupled with a strong business acumen


• Aptitude for problem solving and troubleshooting


• Excellent attention to detail


• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal


• Outstanding organisational and management skills

What's on Offer

‎1. Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning (SIOP)
* Lead Egypt JV SIOP program across the business, through a cross-functional team of supply chain, production, sales, finance, product management (PM), and general management.
* Act as S&OP subject matter expert for the business and have accountability of Demand planning, Supply planning and Inventory planning processes.
o Demand Planning: Review order data and identify demand trends with sales and
PM. Review forecasting performance and gaps to plan. Facilitate cross-
functional decision making to influence market demand.
o Supply Planning: Assess risks on suppliers and material availability,
analyse and present alternatives to mitigate risk. Review production capacity
and performance, to ensure overall supply plan is aligned with demand plan.
o Inventory Planning: Promote stocking strategies and optimise inventory
levels. Balance the tradeoffs of maximising stock availability and sales order
fulfilment with excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory risk. Provide visibility
and coordinate action planning on E&O Inventory.
‎2. Procurement
* Leverage from the organisation"s global procurement team, tools, and policies to drive procurement processes for indirect and direct materials, and services for organisation.
* Manage all procurement activities from sourcing, purchasing, supplier management
* Lead a team of buyers who create and manage purchase orders according to inventory plan, monitor open purchase orders, expedite and follow-up with suppliers as needed
* Support trade compliance and SOX compliance in procurement processes
‎3. Order and Logistics Management
* Accountable for an O&L team with clean execution of Sales Orders, strong coordination with production and procurement, and proactive customer communication on order updates and changes.
* Accountable for the Warehouse team efficient processes and accurate operations
* Continuously assess procedures and business feedback, to identify opportunities to reduce lead times or costs
* Formalize processes or publish policies within O&L which underpin continuous improvement
* Ensure compliance to all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements from organisation, and local regulations. Promote a positive and proactive EHS culture amongst employees.
‎4. Performance Measurements
* Customer Delivery - On Time Delivery, On Time Performance, Net Promoter Score
* Sales Order Metrics and Inquiry Response Time
* SIOP - Demand Forecast Accuracy, Production Schedule Adherence
* Inventory performance - Inventory $, Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), E&O stock
* Inventory control - Warehouse Count completion and Inventory accuracy
* Continuous Improvement - Procurement Savings and Productivity
* Team & Culture Management - Connect, Perform, Grow (CPG), Turnover, Employee Engagement Surveys
