Danone MENA is looking for an experienced Market Access Manager for
its Specialized Business for MENA to be based Cairo, Egypt.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Market Access Manager with a
strong background in health economics to join our team. As a Market Access
Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to
ensure optimal market access for our products, incorporating expertise in
budget impact models and cost-effectiveness studies. This role requires a deep
understanding of healthcare markets, payer landscapes, and regulatory
environments.
BUSINESS CONTEXT & KEY CHALLENGES (that the role holder will face in the
coming 2 years)
The MENA region is contentiously experiencing changes in healthcare policies
and reimbursement frameworks.at the same time Danone Specialized Nutrition is
always having existing portfolio and also launching new innovations in
advanced specialized nutrition products in the MENA region where the Market
Access Manager needs to develop and implement market access strategies to
ensure maintenance of the available portfolio and also the swift and
successful entry of these new products into the different markets.
Key challenges:
* Adapting market access strategies to align with evolving policies, ensuring continued reimbursement and market presence amid regulatory changes.
Developing market access strategies that accommodate the diverse needs and preferences of different payers and health authorities across the region.
Formulating market access strategies that differentiate Danone's products, demonstrating their unique value proposition in a crowded market.
Developing robust budget impact models and cost-effectiveness studies that convincingly showcase the economic benefits of Danone's specialized nutrition products.
Successfully negotiating reimbursement agreements with diverse payers, considering varying pricing structures, formularies, and decision-making processes.
Collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and healthcare stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of market access strategies and a unified approach.
Generating and leveraging real-world evidence to strengthen market access arguments, demonstrating the practical value and impact of specialized nutrition products in clinical settings.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Develop and execute market access strategies, incorporating health economics principles, to optimize reimbursement and facilitate market adoption of products.
Conduct thorough market analysis, assessing payer landscapes, pricing trends, and competitor positioning, integrating health economics considerations.
Support negotiations with payers, health authorities, and other stakeholders, leveraging health economics insights to secure favorable reimbursement and market access agreements.
Develop and implement budget impact models and cost-effectiveness studies to demonstrate the value proposition of our products to payers.
Stay informed about healthcare policy changes, reimbursement guidelines, and market trends to proactively address challenges and leverage opportunities.
Contribute to the development of product pricing and reimbursement submissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and incorporating health economics data.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in payer organizations, government agencies, and industry associations.
Monitor and assess the impact of healthcare reforms and policy changes on market access strategies, providing insights and recommendations for adaptation.
Collaborate with the broader market access team to share insights, contribute to best practices, and support global market access initiatives.
Provide regular reports and updates on market access activities, including health economics outcomes, to senior management.

Negotiation and Agreement:
* Reimbursement Success Rate: Measure the percentage of successful negotiations resulting in favorable reimbursement agreements with payers and health authorities.
* Time to Reimbursement: Track the time it takes to secure reimbursement for new products or indications, ensuring timely market access.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
* Market Share Growth: Monitor the growth in market share for specialized nutrition products with payers ( Tenders ,Health insurance ,etc..) and correlating it with the effectiveness of market access strategies.
* Competitor Analysis: Evaluate the depth and accuracy of competitor analysis, contributing to the development of successful market access strategies.
Policy and Regulatory Impact:
* Adaptation to Policy Changes: Assess the ability to adapt market access strategies in response to changes in healthcare policies and regulations.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines in market access activities.
Stakeholder Relationships:
* Stakeholder Satisfaction: Collect feedback from key stakeholders, including payers and healthcare providers, to gauge satisfaction with market access strategies and collaborations.
* Key Opinion Leader Engagement : Measure the strength and growth of relationships with key opinion leaders and influencers in the healthcare and payer community.
Financial Impact:
* Budget Impact Model Accuracy: Evaluate the accuracy and reliability of budget impact models, ensuring they align with financial projections and goals.
* Cost-Effectiveness Study Impact: Assess the impact of cost-effectiveness studies on product adoption and reimbursement decisions.

* Alignment with Business Objectives : Ensure that market access strategies align with broader business objectives, contributing to revenue growth and market success.

About you
To be successful in the role you should ideally have:
* Education: Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or a related field; advanced degree in health economics is a plus.
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in market access within the healthcare industry, with a focus on health economics.
Languages:
* Fluent in English &Arabic. (written and verbal), French is a plus.
