CBL (Country Brand Lead)
POSITION SUMMARY
Owns portfolio strategies for the country and leads the cross functional team
to ensure marketing excellence of designated brands throughout their life
cycles.
Uses market insights to develop brands strategies, promotional messages and
programs to ensure launch successes, drive growth, maximize portfolio value,
and ensure the realization of revenues and profitability objectives. Ensure
that the strategies encompass all sectors (private & public), channels of
distribution, and customers within the market.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy development & Planning
* Develop strategic marketing plans to accelerate launches, uptake and access to new/existing assets.
* Develop country Op Plan; revenue targets, brand A&P and FTE allocations with Category Lead
* Management of different brands life cycles within the category portfolio.
* Identify issues, opportunities, MWMs and CSF per brand or TA.
* Tailor global brand strategies to local market needs and define local priorities for the brand.
* Define potential target customer segments and develop positioning of different assets.
* Lead the development of Brand Plan/SPICE & tactical matrix in collaboration with CBM.
* Ensure that customer and patient insights as well as market issues are well understood and processed into the local and regional brand plans
* Drive execution of brand strategy in country - lead implementation of key brand programs.
* Select best-fitting modules from regional content; translates and trans-create brand materials.
* Coordinate with Medical and FF colleagues in designing value-added customer programs and managing relations with key stakeholders to ensure strong and consistent Pfizer engagement.
Leadership & partnerships
* Partner with Category Lead to ensure alignment with overall brand strategy and incorporation of market feedback
* Work in collaboration with regional & global cross functional teams in order to coordinate the activities of members of these teams as appropriate to achieve brand objectives.
* Cross-functional brand leadership - across Field Force, Account management, medical, legal, regulatory, Health and value, supply etc. Train Field Force on product positioning and prioritization.
* Partner with Medical to educate KOLs on emergent medical research and differentiated product attributes
* Provide local insights and brand feedback to Regional Therapeutic Area Lead (RTAL) / Brand Implementation Lead
* Contributing in talent planning, team development and CBM coaching.
Financial Planning
* Accountable for the planning, spending & controlling of budgets agreed for TA of responsibility & developing regular forecast updates to aid financial planning.
* Oversee sales and forecasting, provide country input into overall Africa Middle East forecasts.
* Forecast revenue and Opex of assigned brands and track brand performance and progress towards target (LE exercises)
* Meet/exceed local revenue and profitability objectives
* Review pricing and make recommendations to ensure strategic pricing to leverage opportunities in all sectors; working closely with Access lead

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications:
* 7+ years of Commercial/Marketing experience is preferred
* Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical/Medical sciences, Market studies or MBA is a plus
* Knowledge and experience in Therapy Area is a plus
* Proven track record as a key achiever
