GISACC - Software Application Engineer

Mission
As part of a highly dynamic team, the candidate will be responsible for the
design, development, testing & support for different applications to meet the
identified business needs
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain software based on product backlog features and developed high-level design
* Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
* Deliver and integrate the software on configuration management tools
* Follow standard team processes and guidelines and ensure process conformance
* Report work progress in Daily Scrum meetings
* Participate in Weekly meetings/calls with internal and external Product Owners
* Contribute effectively in the continuous improvement of his/her project, team, and work environment by submitting improvement proposals whenever possible
* Raise flags proactively for any issue that can impact his/her project or team
* Develop and maintain technical documentation
Qualifications
Education
* B.Sc. in Communication, Mechatronics, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
* B. Sc. in Computer science
Professional Experience
* From ‎0 to ‎3 years of relevant experience
Languages
* English is a must.
* German or French is a plus.
Technical Requirements
* Basic understanding of front-end technologies and platforms, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 is a must
* Object oriented programming concepts is a must
* Design patterns basic knowledge is a must
* Relational database skills is a must
* Configuration management concepts is a must
* Web services concepts is a plus
* Knowledge in one or more of frontend technologies is a plus (AngularJS, Angular or Vue.JS)
* Knowledge in one or more of backend technologies is a plus (PHP, NodeJS, .NET or JAVA)
* Knowledge of web development frameworks such as Express.JS, PHP Laravel or Java Spring is a plus
* Good understanding and working experience on ORM and corresponding frameworks is a plus
* Proven knowledge of basic coding languages such as C++ and JavaScript
* knowledge of unit testing and troubleshooting
* Able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
* Fast and good learner
