Senior Data Center Preparation Engineer

Job Description

• To undertake and supervise all the Datacenter preparation and infrastructure cabling projects assigned Technical Team and Technical third parties to design, implement and integrate Infrastructure solution


• Collaborate with the technical teams and third parties to put High level Design and pre-requisites for the project. And work with the Technical Team to put solution Low Level Design.


• Lead and support the assigned technical team to secure implementing project's deliverables. providing them with guidance and ensuring the work implemented is up to the required standards and in accordance to set milestones.


• Follow up the projects technical progress and coach technical resources in running projects.


• Follow up technically on third parties to ensure that the technical scope in projects is fulfilled.


• Cooperate with Pre-Sales team to receive hand over for awarded projects


• Handle Customer and vendor technical communications and Act as the technical interface with the client regarding any queries concerning the preparation phase.


• Escalate customer satisfaction problems to Technical Team Leader, Project Management, if necessary


• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress report to the Datacenter team leader to clarify the current status and progress of assigned task.


• Supports the Team Leader in hiring new resources if needed.


• Participates in performance evaluation of Datacenter engineers.


• Provides technical training to junior staff and measure their capabilities


• Prepares compiles and reviews the Project Technical Documentation's with the details of the installation work and submits to team leader.

Personal Skills

• Bachelor of Engineering with a specialization in Communications or Computers.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.


• Excellent people management skills


• Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.


• Excellent command of English.

Technical Skills

• Minimum ‎4 years of experience in a similar position.


• ‎1-‎2 years of experience in leading infrastructure projects.


• Datacenter preparation knowledge.


• Design, implement, supervise and manage all infrastructure cabling (Copper and Fiber) related tasks.


• High knowledge of infrastructure cabling standards.


• Recommended: Network experience with CCNA or CCNP certificate.
