Undertake research in planetary science supporting the group’s existing and
future research projects.
Complete tasks assigned by the group leader to contribute to the general
life of the research group.
Present research work to a variety of audiences within the University, the
UAE, and, if appropriate, at international conferences.
Perform research support tasks as required by the group leader and NSSTC
management.
Where appropriate, contribute to supervision of interns and MSc students.
Write internal reports on their work.
Publish research work in the open scientific literature.
Contribute to NSSTC capacity building, outreach events, and other community
services.
Take part in NSSTC research group and business meetings.
Represent NSSTC and UAE University externally.

Minimum Qualification
Undergraduate or Master's degree in physics, mathematics, geosciences,
planetary science, engineering, computer science, astronomy, meteorology,
biology, or a related subject.
Experience: Essential:

Desirable:
Experience taking part in undergraduate or Master's research projects.
Experience with programming, particularly Python, IDL, Matlab, or Fortran.
Experience with the Linux operating system.
Academic courses in atmospheric physics, fluid dynamics, or planetary
geology.
Preferred Qualification
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A keen interest in space exploration and/or planetary science.
An aptitude for computing work and programming.
Good mathematical ability.
The ability to work within a team.
A strong desire to contribute to cutting edge research.
Willingness to travel overseas when necessary.
