Site Manager

EWI are supporting a leading International Engineering Firm and are requiring
a Site Manager to be based in Saudi Arabia.
The client is tendering heavily across Saudi Arabia and the world, and this
position will initially focus on an ongoing tender but it will eventually
progress to a project role.
Experience in precast and forming concrete as well as managing teams on major
infrastructure projects is critical for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities :
* Implementing working methods as approved by the Construction Manager
* Implementing the Quality, Environment and Safety plans
* Supervising and monitoring the performance of the activities of the site production staff, in accordance with the Construction Manager
* Organizing all the activities related to the construction of the project
* Preparing the operative plans with the relevant assets required, verifying the achievement of the targets defined by the Construction Manager, fulfilling the contractual requirements and technical specifications
* Supporting the preparation of the method statements, entrusted by the Technical Office in collaboration with the Designer
* Controlling the works and the relevant tracking of the tests executed
* Stopping the works that don't conform to the contractual specifications
* Cooperating with the QA Manager, HS Manager, Environmental Manager and Sustainability Manager to the proposition of nonconformity resolution
* Contributing to the implementation of the corrective actions defined
* Suggesting appropriate steps to prevent recurring non-conformities
Requirements:
* Minimum ‎15 years' experience
* Previous experience in Saudi Arabia and/or in remote sites is preferable
* University degree in Engineering, Architecture or a related field
* Extensive experience in the overall management of major infrastructure construction projects of similar size, type and complexity
* Proven track record in delivering Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental targets
* Strong communication skills
* Flexibility & analysis/problem solving skills to cope with the challenging environment
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail
* Stress management
* Advanced negotiation skills
* Full command of the English language; knowledge of Arabic is a plus

Head of Rail Systems Integration: Saudi Arabia
EWI are supporting a leading International Engineering Firm and are requiring
a Head of Rail Systems Integration to be based in Saudi Arabia
In managing the integration of the transit systems and the civil
infrastructure components of the Backbone plans, this post assists the Rail
Systems and Integration Director.
In order to identify, clarify, and resolve project interfaces, this function
provides technical oversight of activities related to systems engineering and
integration.
The Head of Rail Systems is accountable for acting independently on project-
related Integration issues.
This is a single status, expat contract that comes with a competitive tax-free

Job Description:
* Control over the function of system engineering and integration.
* Assembling the project's integration procedures demonstrates visible leadership and a commitment to the concepts of systems integration.
* Responsibilities include identifying Project Integration problems.
* Informing the Rail Systems and Integration Director of any technical concerns that come up as a result of integration efforts.
* Offer specialised knowledge in software configuration management and a related sector of systems.
* Collaborate with the assurance manager to show compliance with assurance requirements.
* Collaborating with the Interface Managers to ensure that the BEC design and subsequent contractors work together to define, design, and manage the systems, rolling stock, and infrastructure interfaces to meet the Projects requirements and deliver the necessary level of "whole system" performance.
* Supporting the project's successful delivery with infrastructure and different rail operation modes that need for complete system integration.
Requirements for the role are:
* Single status
* Degree qualified in science or engineering
* Minimum of ‎25 years' experience in delivering rail projects
* Direct experience of Integration in High-Speed Rail
* ‎7+ years in supporting project teams in the development and V &V of designs throughout the entire project lifecycle
* English language is essential
* Middle East experience
