Job Purpose
The Procurement Support Lead is responsible for managing the Procurement
Support team and activities. This includes managing enquiries on procurement
actions and monitoring / expediting undelivered orders, generating monthly
reports for Procurement and Supply Chain Services, providing monthly reports
on vendor registration, freshdesk tickets, and expediting activities.


Major Accountabilities
Purchase Order / Transactional Process
 Lead the expediting team in liaising with Procurement Services and Supply
Chain team to ensure goods and services are delivered without delay
 Issues reports on the performance of the stages in the P to P cycle
 Understanding of the supply chain stages, including logistics, permitting
and customs clearance
 Understand customer support platform (Freshdesk or similar) used for
customers queries
 Managing the Support team's activities in ensuring queries are being
promptly addressed and ensuring orders still in the fulfillment process are
monitored to ensure there are no unnecessary delays
 Monitor the team performance by providing monthly progress reports re: fresh
desk tickets, vendor registration and expediting activities.
 Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the
employee's knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of his/her position
 Performs other applicable related support tasks as assigned
Relationships
 Work with other senior procurement staff on the execution of low and medium-
complexity sourcing projects relating to supplier performance management
 Oversees the effectiveness of their team's relationships with stakeholders
Systems & Tools
 Manages systems admin to ensure people have the right access to the systems
and approval workflows
 Oversee Admin Support on all Procurement systems
 Ensures Procurement Helpdesks are run effectively and tickets are closed
promptly.

 Ability to use e-procurement applications and Microsoft Office programs
including Word, Excel, PowerApps and PowerPoint
 Ability to use automation tools

 Ability to coach members of the Procurement team
 Ability to lead direct reports and non-direct reports
 Ability to lead a project team within their specialism

 Ability to think about and create solutions which enhance the performance of
the support areas

 Ability to anticipate and predict internal and external changes, trends and
influences in order to effectively utilize time and prioritize activities for
efficient delivery

manage resources to meet targets and deadlines within customer area or
responsibility. Demonstrated approach of consistently focusing on minimizing
expenses whilst maximizing results.

Able to understand and communicate at a senior level the value add of
Procurement to the organization over time. Qualifications
 Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject, Master's degree is preferred
 Procurement Qualification is desirable (e.g. MCIPS or IACCM)
 Certification in Continuous Improvement / Business Process Re-Engineering is
advantageous
Experience
 ‎8+ years' relevant professional experience
 ‎4+ years' experience leading a customer focused support team
 Proven people management and leadership experience
 Strong analytical and report writing experience
