Basic Functions
The SSA coordinator supervises, manages, and directs administrative and
logistics functions of the associated warehouse activities and personnel (with
a primary focus on Class ‎2, ‎3 & ‎9). Coordinates with the aviation Production
Managers and maintenance teams to ensure aviation repair parts are
inventoried, catalogued, on-hand or on-order, and managed by the SSA to
support aviation maintenance logistics (MLS) operations. The SSA coordinator
must be familiar with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) requirements,
functions, and utilization to support SSA operations. Identify and resource
aviation logistics & maintenance repair parts, components, spares, and
supplies; request multimodal transportation, support item movement and
packaging, and supervise warehouse and distribution nodes. Support information
requests with a positive handover of aviation logistical support to the Depot
Support Activity (DSA), and Procurement and Subcontracts Division (PSD).
Direct the efforts of vendors and subcontractors, and oversee the logistics
management information system (MIS) to include forecasting, planning, and
supply chain optimization. Plans, coordinates, and executes scheduled,
unscheduled, ad-hoc, and OJT training.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
A. Duties/responsibilities:
‎1. Establish and manage an ASL for the Aviation Brigade.
‎2. Manage logistics activities unique to the logistical support of airfield
activities.
‎3. Monitor and report the daily processed activities of the DSA and PSD
affecting the delivery of all requested classes of supplies to the SSA.
‎4. Process and deliver materials in accordance with regulations and
procedures.
‎5. Manage inventory, to include multi-node warehouse and KAA distribution
supervision, storage management, issue/collection windows, warranty
administration, kitting and phase maintenance preparation.
‎6. Manage return of repairables, warranty items, spares, bench stock and
consumables.
‎7. Maintain a working knowledge of lead times and affect to cost, schedule
and workloads.
‎8. Plan and optimize forecasting and operational levels.
‎9. MIS administration.
‎10. Initiate and monitor Transportation Movement Request on KAA.
‎11. LSCM training for warehouse and other logistics personnel.
‎12. Personnel staffing and management of logistics support team.
‎13. Manage, counsel and evaluate subordinate job performance.
‎14. Recommend changes to improve the performance and efficiency of MLS and
SSA functions.
‎15. Other tasks as directed.
B. Independence: Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and
responsibilities with significant choice of methods.
C. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages and supervises more than ‎8 employees.
Responsible for counseling, mentoring, and discipline within the organization.

Minimum Qualifications
A. Education Level Requirements:
‎1. Required: Associates Degree or equivalent experience.
‎2. Required: Graduate of a Military Logistics Course (92A, 920A/B) or
equivalent.
‎3. Preferred: Bachelor's degree
‎4. Preferred: Graduate from an Advanced Military Logistics Course (e.g. SLC,
ALC, Logistics CCC).
‎5. Preferred: AS9110 Lead Auditor Training

B. Experience:
‎1. Required: ‎12 years of U.S. Military Aviation LSCM or equivalent experience
‎2. Required: ‎4 years of the last ‎6 years LSCM experience or equivalent
experience.
‎3. Preferred: ‎20 years military experience in Aviation LSCM.
‎4. Preferred: Former Officer, Warrant Officer or senior NCO with LSCM
experience.

C. Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Ability Requirements:
‎1. Must possess an understanding of the aviation logistics system specific to
aircraft maintenance and repair.
‎2. Demonstrated performance in the management of best-in-class industry
supply chain principles - inventory management; forecasting/optimization and
planning; stock, store, and issue; material handling, packaging, and
transportation / item movement; logistics ERP and IT systems; and
Logistics/Supply Chain Management (LSCM) training.
‎3. A working knowledge of property accountability and reporting, quality
control, vendor/subcontractor management, and import/export administration.
‎4. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
‎5. Host and participates in meetings / conferences, as required.
‎6. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. The is
to ensure the candidate will effectively communicate with the customer in a
professional and courteous manner.
‎7. Ability to manage, counsel, evaluate and train employees in the
supervision of staff.
‎8. Strong organizational and work management skills.
‎9. Other duties as assigned.
