Staff Scientist, MEA (NMR Specialist)

LOCATION: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Summary
We are looking for NMR specialist with good theoretical and practical NMR
knowledge in structural and compositional analysis of polymeric materials
utilizing advanced NMR-spectroscopic techniques. In this role, you will be
supporting innovations by unraveling fundamentals of polymers and processes.

Job Purpose & Responsibilities
* Provide analytical solutions, using advanced NMR techniques to challenging research problems associated with process development of polymers and small organic molecules; analysis of polymer degradation products, identify unknown impurities and interpret complex data to support product failure analysis.
* You will be in-charge of running and maintaining the NMR instrument, driving the method development activities, training and coordinating the technicians.
* Candidate should have experience in documentation /publishing/ patenting as appropriate alongside completion of a project.
* Excellent communication skills are required as the successful candidate will be an integral part of multi-disciplinary project teams, should be able to actively collaborate with technology teams to contribute directly to support process development, new product development and manufacturing issue resolution support.
* Drive multiple projects simultaneously and uses relevant statistical tools to evaluate the results and inferences.
* Contribute to and further promote a high culture of safety in the laboratory and on site.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
* Qualifications : PhD degree in Chemistry/ Polymers/Material Sciences.
* Experience : ‎10-‎15 years hands-on experience in handling NMR instruments and in-depth understanding of application of NMR for structural characterization of polymers and small molecules in an academic or industrial setting..

Competencies/Skills Requirements
Expertise in development and implementation of new NMR methods for detailed
structural and compositional analysis of polymers.
* Should be well-versed with relevant statistical tools to evaluate the results and inferences.
* Working knowledge of other Spectroscopic techniques is highly desirable.
* Good communication skills and self-starter
