IT Ops Engineer

JOB LOCATION: Saudi Arabia
Job Objective: Ensure to Install, configure, maintain, support, and secure
client's LAN and WAN, including hardware resources and software applications,
to ensure that the network is reliable and that the organization's IT
resources are used efficiently.
Day to Day Operations
* Identifies, analyses, and drives problems to resolution, handling small to intermediate issues simultaneously while effectively communicating and engaging high level technical peers.
* Assists in testing, adjusting, and installing equipment to meet provisioned request SLA's. Adheres to the agreed event management notification and escalation procedures.
* Configures, develops, integrates, implements, and regularly maintains network solutions. Supports implementation/deployment of network enhancements or new network designs.
* Executes troubleshooting methodology and root-cause analysis to resolve incidents and service requests. Coordinates problem resolution.
* Assists peers and utilizes software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose problems and factors affecting network performance.
* Applies ITIL framework, closes Problem records within defined timeline threshold to minimize impact on client / outage. Acts as a Tier I focal point to resolve all break/fix and service degradation issues.
Budgets and Plans
* Contribute to preparation of IT budget
* Recommend input to create annual budget and prepare budget vs. actual as requested

Policies, Processes & Procedures
* Recommend improvements to departmental policy and directs the implementation of procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
MIS & Reports
* Prepare MIS statements and reports pertaining to IT department to meet Injazat' s/DOE and the departmental requirements, policies and standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in technology, BCA, B. Tech
* Certificate preferred CCNA, ITIL Foundation
Minimum Experience:
* ‎3 to ‎5 years of experience in progressively more complex and responsible operational roles within a dynamic enterprise function
* ‎1 to ‎2 years of experience in Saudi Market is preferred
Job-Specific Skills:
* Performs all activities associated with the network infrastructure services.
* Responsibilities include, but are not limited to switches, routers, firewalls, Internet connectivity, wireless and appropriate management tools.
* Intermediate knowledge of routing and switching technologies, configurations & network protocols.
* Carry out preventative maintenance and systems monitoring as defined by operating standards.
* Intermediate understanding of troubleshooting methodologies, steps, and tools.
* Intermediate Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques, problem resolution standards and problem analysis procedures.
* Intermediate knowledge of local and wide area network connectivity.
* Knowledge and experience with ITIL concepts, Incident, Problem and Change Management.
* Understanding of Configuration Items (CIs) to ensure compliance with provisioned policies.
* Intermediate understanding of design, configurations, and support concepts.
* Understanding of security policies, procedures, and standards.
* Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
* Understanding of various monitoring, and management tools.
* Knowledge of client approved Network and Security products and services.
* Ability to communicate and multi-task under pressure.
* Maintain knowledge of industry best practices regarding network operations.
* Ability to direct and interact during major outages and/or initiatives.
