Senior Legal Counsel

The Role
The Senior Legal Counsel oversees the legal department, leads in-house
attorneys / engage external consultants, provides direction on major legal and
regulatory issues, and plays an important role in deploying business operation
and entity structure. The incumbent would be responsible for advising the
executive management on governance legislation and procedural matters and
ensure that the company complies with its statutory obligations under relevant
laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities - Responsible for providing
guidance on corporate governance leads efforts in negotiating and drafting
contracts, risk management, and the development of plans and policies. -
Oversee delivery of legal services and resources to accomplish corporate
goals, strategies, and priorities. - Oversee license and IP-related matters
application and maintenance. - Oversee internal policies, code of conduct,
labor regulations and external contracts, etc. - Ensure that the business is
optimally structured and duly licensed in the relevant jurisdictions,
including obtaining tax and labor advice where relevant. - Advice on
governance legislation and procedural matters. - Ensure that the company
complies with its statutory obligations under relevant laws and regulations. -
Oversee the relationship with the administrative department. Strongly
preferred: - Expertise in working with multinational companies and the
logistics industry In-house experience - International experience

Requirements
Candidate Requirements - Must have graduation or post-graduation in Law with
minimum experience of ‎7 years with a law firm of repute. - Must have KSA Bar
or local. - Familiar with multinational companies and the logistics industry
would be a plus. - Strong legal experience in corporate, commercial matters &
corporate governance. - Proficient in English or Arabic, Mandarin would be a
plus. - Litigation skills to handle administrative procedures within public
authorities. - Solution-oriented: ability to look outside the box and problem
solver.
