POSITION: Business Consultant II
LOCATION: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Summary:
Reporting to the Director, EMEA Service Management, the Business Consultant
(BC), Service Management will be required to assist clients in solving
business problems with technology solutions. Through the use of product and
industry knowledge, you will be required to analyze the customer/business
requirements and technical solutions needed to achieve goals and objectives.
You will need to interface with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve results.
They will be responsible to establish a trusted and strategic advisory
relationship with both CSG client(s), 3rd parties and other CSG support &
delivery functions to position the company for future business growth
opportunities. The BC will support distributed teams co-located with the
customer(s) and/or in remote CSG's offices. The BC should have strong and
practical hands-on understanding of core Billing & Revenue Management
architecture and technologies, with experience of extensive use of product and
industry knowledge to assist customers in solving business problems and
analyze business requirements, working with Solution Architects to define the
technical solutions needed to achieve the business goals and objectives.
Position Details:
* Assumes overall responsibility for defining a solution that matches client's business needs
* Meets with clients to gather, analyze and document business requirements and produce system requirements
* Provides solution support to Managed Services teams when needed - this includes 3rd and 4th line solution support and transition of any new system or functional designs and implementations
* Provides leadership and guidance in providing solutions to the business client
* Participates in pre-sales activities using personal presence and product knowledge. Assisting with RFP response
* Demonstrates system functionality to client
* Plays key role in completion of the specification study and the preparation of statement of work in conjunction with the project implementation team, including assessing the customer's readiness and the creation of agendas
* Estimates scope of consultant efforts and accurately estimates billable time required for completion
* Guides the project team through implementation and testing of the system requirements
* Reviews test plans to ensure coverage of system requirements
* Primary contact point for client's business interests and works toward resolution of issues
* Acts as a point of contact for information, support, direction and leadership for other business analysts, core product management teams and shared development team
* Provides leadership to the project team and client on the impact of market and regulatory changes and the future directions of the core products
* Responsible for delivering feedback to the core product teams to ensure that future releases of the products meet the ongoing needs of the client/business
* Responsible for decisions which require considerable independent judgment and integration of variable information
* Work independently and collaborate with peers when necessary
* Ensure the optimization of and full accountability for results of decisions
* Manage client engagement(s) and relationships while providing overall leadership to your team.
* Jointly develop within CSG an agreed roadmap with customer(s) to cater for business growth.
* Plan and design either client specific or broader service-oriented programs and proactively monitor overall progress at regular intervals to senior and executive level stakeholders, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate in accordance with the governance arrangements.
* Develop and maintain cross-functional partnerships with 3rd parties and other CSG departments to ensure customer issues are resolved and CSG retains a vendor of credibility reputation.
* Prevent erroneous decisions which will result in serious impacts to project costs and customer commitments
Qualifications :
* Minimum ‎12 years of work experience required in telecom industry, preferably in BSS with and extensive work experience on Revenue Management, Billing and charging end to end solutions.
* Cross Industry Experience: Experience in business consulting with multiple clients in telecoms (fixed and mobile), cable and media industry delivering software solutions for Business Support Systems. A deep understanding of the operations of different industry sectors and current trends in commercial propositions that clients are adopting to compete.
* Industry Leadership: Deep Knowledge of industry trends from marketing to commercial and operations that are being adopted to drive new ways of client engagement and revenue models. Understanding of the drivers of change affecting these industries in competing for similar customer sets. Ability to work at C-Level with commercial, operational and Information Systems areas to be seen as a thought leader in driving new operating modes and solutions.
* Business Consulting: Consulting with clients to draw out needs associated with company strategy and recommend solutions. Ability to challenge approaches through thought-leadership to draw out best solutions and add value in proposing alternative methods to achieving company goals. Experience of working with clients in major business transformation programmes.
* Business Modelling and Functional Specifications: Ability to design and document approaches to business models and document functional needs for input to solution leads across the CSG product set.
* Process Mapping: Ability to lead Process Mapping and Design workshops and document Process maps to address needs associated with agreed strategic direction.
* Solution Design: Collaborate with Solution leads across the CSG product set to define solutions to meet business objectives agreed through consultation and workshops.
