We are currently seeking a Material Planning & Production Control Manager.
This position requires an experienced professional with the ability to manage,
improve and drive the material planning and production control departments.
The successful candidate will have spent considerable time launching new
plants and/or new products in an automotive manufacturing environment.
This position requires partnership with Logistics, Sales, Service, Supply
Chain, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Packaging, Engineering, Finance, and
Regulatory Affairs to implement new processes and manage changes. Our ideal
candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor
and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in
their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive
for perfection within a fast-paced environment.


The Role:



  • Overall responsibility for all Material Planning and Production Control activities across Lucid Motors in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including Material Follow Up (MFU), Engineering Change Control, Inventory Management, and the development of the Master Production Schedule.

  • Create and implement best practice Material Planning and Production Control vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.

  • Review opportunities to improve operational and financial performance and to ensure minimal operational disruption and maximum customer satisfaction.

  • Evaluate the challenges faced by the organization and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.

  • Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process.

  • Interpret and analyze complex data and trends and develop recommendations and strategies based on analysis.

  • Ensure that plans, schedules, and performance metrics are available and regularly report progress to others.

  • Supervise the planning and ordering of time-critical materials to support Lucid Motors manufacturing organizations, while minimizing freight costs and maintaining optimal inventory levels (avoid both shortages and overages).

  • Act as escalation point for material concerns, lead daily shortage meetings to ensure supply continuity, and report on KPIs (inventory days on hand, line interruptions, expedite costs, etc.).

  • Foster and develop a strong team of material planners and production control engineers and potentially associate managers through selective recruitment, training and coaching. Tasks include proactively planning resources, communicating job expectations, providing performance feedback and managing the team in line with Lucid Motors policies.

  • Identify and communicate potential supply risks and collaborate with purchasing and supplier industrialization teams to resolve structural and commercial issues.

  • Enforce maintenance of MRP master data parameters to ensure accurate demand signals (i.e. lead times, MOQ 's, lot sizing, safety stock); identify and resolve system and/or BOM inaccuracies to preserve data integrity.

  • Participate in and champion MRP system development activities, including specification writing, development, testing, and training.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor 's Degree preferred in Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

  • CPIM, APICS, or other certifications a plus.

  • ‎5+ years of experience in at least two of the following areas: material planning, production control, logistics, supply chain, or finance.

  • ‎2+ years of related automotive industry experience and LEAN manufacturing preferred.

  • ‎2+ years direct leadership experience.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in developing, implementing, and assessing key operational and financial metrics.

  • Strong critical thinking and resolution skills in ambiguous situations.

  • Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP with a solid understand of discrete manufacturing, bills of material, product lifecycle management, procure to pay processes and supply chain operations.

  • Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software a plus.

  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards and launch procedures as TS16949 and core tools (APQP & Control Plan, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, etc.).

  • Hands on experience in manufacturing (with thorough knowledge of supply chain and assembly plant processes, procedures, facilities/warehouse processes).

  • Previous SAP experience or another inventory and/or ERP system.

  • Demonstrated inventory management and control ability as well as inventory value reduction experience.
