Your Impact:

The purpose of this role is to project manage large design projects or large
capital projects with the necessary support and coaching from Project Manager
/ designated project leaders.
This project professional will devote their efforts to directing the success
of projects through achievement of project objectives and KPI 's and be
responsible for the management and coordination of engineering, design,
fabrication, installation, commissioning, quality, health and safety, finance
and administration, and cost and schedule activities of the projects as well
as the development of personnel on designated areas of the projects.
Primary responsibilities
* Actively promote and demonstrate a strong "BeyondZero" safety culture in project design and working environment
* Lead Safety in Design on building projects and ability to apply and communicate Safety in Design process, risks and resolutions on projects to wider business.
* Ability to run a Safety in Design meeting and actively contribute to HAZID and HAZOPs.
* Ability to conduct Safety investigations, inspections and audits on the site works
* Ability to identify hazards in the workplace and construction site and raise awareness to appropriate personnel
* Ability to demonstrate safety leadership through role modelling a "Safety First" attitude and behaviours
* Maintain and build on existing client relationships, encourage team to work as an integrated team, through an understanding of client needs and effective communication
* Support and promote a strong service delivery to internal teams
* Foster positive working relationships with contractors in support of the delivery of the project
* Identify client satisfaction drivers for projects and develop strategies with project teams to achieve them. Identify and address issues that would impact on desired project outcomes
* Support Senior Project Manager / Precinct Director / District Director /Project Executives managing risk, project delivery, HSE, quality and service
* Provide regular progress information to allow accurate reporting of design & project construction progress
* Provide technical oversight to the design team and be responsible for completion of Design phase from end of Concept Design
* Compliance with all requirements of the design quality system
* Manage and undertake technical and interdisciplinary reviews of deliverables where appropriate
* Lead and participate in project meetings, identification and resolution of interfaces in coordination with other project teams
* Coordinate with the Client's permitting team for tracking status of all permits related to the project
* Project manage design and/or construction projects in accordance with client systems and processes
* Identify resource requirements to meet project expectations, collaborates with Section Leaders, Director/s, Managers of Operations and Development Managers
* Identify and communicate resource availability / constraints across the project
* Participate and promote in resource sharing opportunities across Operation Centres and Business Units
* Build appropriate relationships with relevant project stakeholders (internal and external)
* Support and motivate other team members to achieve "best for project" outcomes
* Provide feedback and coaching to team members and peers on progress within a project and design environment
* Support and mentor staff to expand their professional development and enhance project delivery excellence
* Provide leadership and direction in delivery of challenging or complex contracting mechanisms
* Support Section Leaders in setting goals with project team members to support delivery of project outcomes
* Support the Senior Project Manager and procurement team to identify all services required for project delivery are procured in accordance with the project schedule
* Provide data and reporting on overall project schedule performance and progress against schedule, including recovery measures and the identification of emerging concerns that may impact the programme
* Responsible for identifying, recording and mitigating risks for the project
* Support the commercial team to monitor and achieve project budgets
* Support the Senior Project Manager and team in preparation of presentations as needed to secure governance and stage gate approvals
* Coordinate with the project team, client Logistics team and contractors to ensure logistic provisions are provided to achieve schedule
* Responsible to ensure project team members and self-comply with the Client Code of Conduct policy

Here 's What You'll Need:

Minimum ‎7 years of experience in program and project management on large
capital building projects
Four-year university degree is required.
A strong capacity in:
* Delivery of large-scale, multidisciplinary building / infrastructure projects;
* Contract management, commercial management, risk management and dispute resolution;
* Proven ability to develop strong relationships and work in an integrated team environment;
* Ability to lead and deliver value propositions, commercial understanding, risk management, and resource management.
