Context of Need
Answering today's ecological urgency and the need to reduce CO² emissions,
John Cockerill brings you a promising sector that could help decarbonise
transport and industry: hydrogen. In this pioneering industry, we have already
manufactured electrolysers and storage solutions for nearly 1,000 customers in
different industries. Today, John Cockerill Hydrogen offers the most powerful
electrolysers on the market, capable of producing up to 1300Nm³ per hour
(equivalent to 6.5 megawatts (MW).
Nature & Scope
The Business Development & Sales Manager will be responsible to develop the
business activities of John Cockerill, including identifying and developing
new business opportunities, building customers and partners relationships and
entering into commercial agreements.
Main duties
* Analyze the market potential and identify the leviers to activate to achieve our business development goals in Middle East
* Analyze the competitors and collaborate with the whole team to improve our portfolio competitiveness
* Develop Green Hydrogen activities across the region, identify and develop new business opportunities, build customers and partners relationships, enter into commercial agreements
* Develop projects with partners and clients, including structuring projects, entering into partnerships and securing necessary funding and subsidies
* Participate to the elaboration of John Cockerill strategy and product development roadmap in the Region
* Design the business strategy by customer & partner including sales contracts, partnership agreements, joint development agreements and financing agreements
* Lead the preparation of technical & commercial offers with inputs from the wider team (technical, finance, legal etc.) and present it to the customers
* Negotiate and close agreements, including sales contracts, partnership agreements, joint development agreements and financing agreements
* Implement adequate partnerships in order to accelerate the go-to-market and access local capabilities
* Lead the design across the Region, by market segment, geographical area and product line. Prioritize opportunities
* Represent the company at various external events
Profile
* >10 years of experience in business or commercial roles in the energy industry in an international context (including having closed several transactions)
* Experience in selling large scale industrial EPC projects
* Seasoned negotiator on complex international contracts
* Experience in the sale of equipment and or complex industrial projects in the Middle East market is essential
* Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, business acumen, autonomous and driven
* Experience with young growing industrial organizations
* Engineering or master's business degree
* Fluency in English and Arabic
