Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Security and Crisis Response
Manager to join our team! In this role you will create, lead, and deliver
a strategic plan to manage crises across one of the largest construction
projects in the world.
What you will be doing
* Proactively, identify threats, and develop the processes to be used to prevent a security breech or foreseeable/unforeseeable crises.
* Act as SME for city wide security
* Lead in a crisis at every stage - before, during, and after.
* Devise and lead a security and a crisis management strategy, policies, plans and process.
* Ensure appropriate staff are trained in security and crisis management, the associated plans and processes to ensure they efficiently deployed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Occupational Safety and
Health, Emergency Management, Crisis Management or Security Management.
Significant experience in leading security and delivering crisis/emergency
management.
10+ years of experience in security and crisis management planning in a
military, policing, humanitarian relief planning and/or civil defense (etc)
would be beneficial.
This role will require a detail-oriented people person with a passion for
leadership, that is comfortable navigating a large-scale, complex business.
POSITION OVERVIEW:

think clearly, act quickly and to handle stress. The role holder will
proactively evaluate vulnerabilities, identify, and prepare the Parsons team
for foreseen and reasonable unforeseen events. It is essential that the role
holder displays concern for the safety and wellbeing of the organization,
program, project team members. Critical thinking skills are essential, as are
strong leadership and interpersonal skills. The role holder will have to
motivate employees to act during difficult times and keep them calm enough to
be effective.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Identify program risks and vulnerabilities
* Establish early monitoring systems
* Develop a security and a crisis management strategy and associated plans to minimize risks
* Develop and deploy a training plan to ensure staff have the appropriate level of knowledge and skill set to effectively action their portion of the plan
* Act as crisis manager during a deployment of the plan
* Lead the crisis management team
* Communicate with employees and stakeholders
* Help shape communications for outside organizations
* Review the response plan, identify what did and did not work, and make any necessary changes
* Develop and deploy a plan to ensure the strategy and associated plans are stress tested
