Swim Instructor-Al Yasmina Academy

Aldar Academies are currently seeking ‎2 outstanding Swim Instructors for
Al Yasmina Academy in Abu Dhabi to start in AY ‎2021/‎22.

The successful candidate will be able to deliver lessons that inspire students

energy and enthusiasm to deliver lessons that engage, enthuse and motivate our
learners.

Responsibilities
* Teaching swimming to every class in the school
* Managing the work of the swimming assistant
* Ensuring the children are supervised at all times
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons
* Organising and participating in galas and other sports related activities
* Liaising class teachers and classroom assistants over the care and supervision of children- prior to, during and after lessons
* Running extra-curricular provision
* To ensure that at all times a member of staff is watching the children in the water but not teaching a group

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Level ‎2 swimming qualification or equivalent


• Lifeguard qualification and CPR Knowledge

Minimum Experience

• Have the ability to cater for the needs of all students across the age and ability range.


• 
  

  Be suitably experienced in teaching swimming and effectively deliver the swimming provision at Al Yasmina Academy.

  Have the teaching / coaching knowledge to understand how to adapt his/her delivery to allow all students to progress.

  
  


• Demonstrate effective communication skills to allow all students to be able to access the teaching content.


• Thorough understanding of swimming strokes and how to develop these in all swimmers in the academy from beginner to advanced.


• Understanding of any potential barriers students face in swimming and have a range of teaching approaches / styles to overcome these.


• A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life


• A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check
