Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Project Management Services
Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to be an acting Division
Manager (a senior management role similar to Vice President) reporting
directly to the Capital Projects Director as a member of the senior leadership
team, and responsible for providing operational excellence support to the rest
of Client Semi government firm in Abu Dhabi- Capital Projects Directorate.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Providing leadership to ‎20+ specialists and subject matter experts supporting project management controls and governance
* Creating a high performing team that does not currently exist, made up of consultant secondees and Client employees.
* Overseeing the improvement of all related project management & connections processes in line with global best practices
* Overseeing the development and implementation of systems and IT tools to support efficient execution of projects to a good standard in line with global best practices.
* Ensuring continuous improvements and consistency as consultancy roles are gradually filled with Client permanent employees
* Ensuring the Capital Project Director and other key stakeholders, e.g. CEO, CFO, Asset Management Director, receive timely, accurate and meaningful management information to support high performance across Client
* Ensuring project teams are supported by a range of subject matter expertise as required
* Engaging with other parts of Client in a collaborative manner in support of a 'One Team' approach
* Identifying and obtaining support for implementation of business performance improvements across Client CPD
* Leading a team responsible for continued transformation of project management competencies in a structured and supportive way that results in best practice capabilities
* Supporting a culture where employees are aligned and engaged with requirements of the business
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline from an accredited university, or equivalent experience
* A minimum of ‎5 years in senior management roles
* Subject matter expert in Project Management within engineering and construction sectors
* Evidence of having delivered business performance improvements within large teams
* Enhancing delivery assurance and improve stakeholder satisfaction.
* Providing effective project controls that directly supports project execution and management.
* Recruiting, training, coaching & developing Client CPD employees as required to provide sustainable competencies in project controls, governance and execution
* Improving Scheduling & Estimating skills, particularly accuracy of CapEx forecasting
* Improving Risk Management & Stakeholders Management practices
* Supporting timely decision-making process and governance from projects to board room
* Improving quality and efficiency of Performance Measurement, Reporting and Analysis
* Reducing number of consultant variations through standardized processes & templates
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
* Requires proficiency in the application of Project Management services, practices, and techniques, as well as a demonstrated proficiency in leading team and providing operational excellence support to Client staff.
* Presentation and management skills.
* Working under pressure, multitasks and support multi projects
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience of working internationally and/or ideally UAE experience
