Join our SeaWorld Abu Dhabi pre-opening team. In this role, you will ensure
guest safety by watching water, responding to emergencies, giving clear
directions and instructions, attending on-going training and maintaining
essential freediving, lifeguarding and basic life support skills. This
position also requires working in varying shifts based on business needs. This
includes opening, mid, and closing shifts, nights, weekends and holidays.
The job scope also includes:
* Ensures that all dive operations safety measures are followed at all times
* Maintains rescue skill competency and basic life support skill competency at a€oetest readya€� levels at all times
* Completes the accurate daily dive logs and records
* Ensures that all diving equipment and materials are ready prior to park operations and safely stored after parka€™s closing
* Reports to the leadership the status of inventory that is used for diving operations
* Maintains professional development on all OSHMS (Occupational Safety and Health Management System) dive regulations
* Completes all trainings that are required by the department and facilities
* Utilizes safe handling, storage and disposal practices for toxic substances and hazardous waste in accordance with company policies
* Participates in dive emergency exercises
* Lifts/moves from 12 to 45 kgs with or without accommodation
* Performs other duties assigned by the leadership
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
* 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected.
* Free diver certification
* Basic Life Support
* Medical Oxygen Provider / AED
* International Lifeguard Training Program or similar program experience
* SCUBA certification
* Swim a minimum of 200 meters, non-stop, using front crawl or breast stroke
* Swim underwater 25 meters
* Maintain test-ready lifeguard skills in accordance with International Lifeguard Training Program.
