Senior Discipline Engineer – Eastern Province, KSA

Role Summary:
The Senior Discipline Engineer is responsible for managing a group of
engineering professionals in mechanical, structural and instrumentation fields
and piping, vessels and structural designers and drafters. Ultimate
responsible for the quality of the engineering being executed and delivered by
the team.
Priority for Saudi Nationals.
Position Location: Khobar, Eastern Province, KSA

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage, coordinate and supervise relevant discipline activities within the project engineering team.
* Prepare and review engineering studies, design drawings and documents, and material and equipment specifications.
* Assist the Project Manager, with resource planning as required.
* Resolve specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
* Control, contribute to and Coordinate with other discipline engineers and design activities across all project areas.
* Provide direction to the discipline group in engineering design matters.
* Provide input to the quality and consistency of detail design and respond to enquiries from the client and other disciplines.
* Provide technical expertise and support required to ensure technical integrity of Design and Engineering.
* Review, check and comment on discipline engineering deliverables submitted by other project team disciplines, suppliers and contractors.
* Visit sites to collect data relevant to project assigned.
* Train the staff as and when required.
* Abide by all company rules, health and safety and quality.
* Take responsibility for the quality of engineering work generated by the discipline resources allocated.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
* Minimum ‎10 years of relevant experience.

* Buildings and the infrastructure industries and mega projects management.
* Leadership in managing projects and integrating them in an overall scheme.
* Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating activities in-house, multi-licensors, and third parties.
