Summary
We’re looking for an enthusiastic High School Physics Teacher, who will be a
key member of the department and will be responsible for delivering the HS
curriculum.
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be able to effectively:
* Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people (child protection)
* Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the goals and objectives of a clearly defined and documented curriculum
* Deliver an active, hands-on and student-centered program to promote learning in science courses especially physics/ AP physics for high school level students
* Maintain student’s attendance records, grades and other required records
* Supervise students' laboratory work
* Maintain a safe learning environment for students at all times
* Assist students who need extra help with their coursework outside of class
* Observe, monitor and record student progress
* Evaluate and grade students class work, laboratory work, and assignments
* Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class
* Collaborate with colleagues

Qualifications and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study

Experience
* Prior experience as a high school Physics teacher is preferred
* Experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office
* Experience delivering a program according to the precepts of the Common Core Standards, but within an international context
Skills**
* Sound knowledge of physics for high school level
* Excellent command of English, both written and oral
* Highly-developed classroom management skill
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
* Maturity to handle a range of situations
* Loyalty and a high level of confidentiality
