Summary
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Middle School Humanities Teacher, who will
be a key member of the department and will be responsible for delivering the
Middle School curriculum. Humanities teachers are responsible for teaching an
integrated course involving both English Language Arts and Social Studies. The
teacher will be primarily responsible for teaching Grade ‎5 & ‎6 students during
the current year
Job Duties
The successful candidate will be able to effectively:

* Be familiar with the Workshop model for Reading and Writing

* Maintain a safe learning environment for students at all times
* Observe,monitor and record student progress
* Respond appropriately to the range of individual needs and abilities within the class
* Be fluent in English,oral and written

Qualifications and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
* Certification as a teacher
* Knowledge of delivering a program according to the precepts of the Common Core Standards, but within an international context
Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience
* Experience as a Humanities teacher (preferred)
* Maturity to handle a range of situations
Skills**
* Excellent command of English, both written and oral
* Highly-developed classroom management skill
