Assistant Business Controller

Your responsibilities

• Business Analysis - Performs analyses of business performance versus budget and forecast and proposes improvement actions. Performs benchmarking of key performance indicators with external and internal peers. Works with other finance professionals in Divisions/Regions/Countries/Functions to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance and identify trends. Prepares financial modelling for various "what if" scenarios and the overall impact to the business unit.


• Perform Focused Analysis of


• Business Unit profitability, Sales analysis (customer/account, channels, industry), Cost Overrun / Order Margin, Backlog Quality, Inventory, OTD, Procurements (GR/IR, Payables) service costing/hourly rates, over/under-absorption analysis, SG&A Cost , Trial balance / Balance Sheet Analysis.


• Financial Reporting - Supports preparation of relevant organization financial reporting, business planning, budgeting and forecasting. Validates accuracy of financial data and business information and reports by performing reconciliations and review of exceptions.


• Proposals Advises on financial and commercial aspects of proposals, contractual terms and conditions, risk reviews, contract structuring, tax issues, cashflow analysis, assignment conditions, and other relevant issues. Reviews and approves full cost model.


• Cashflow Optimizes Business cashflow and acts on reducing overdues with Sales & operation team. Monitors proper follow up on claims and back-charges. Visit customer wherever required.


• Project Review Coordinates regular project reviews, and monitors ongoing project cost control status, cash flow, revenues, profit, gross margin, opportunities and potential cost variances.


• Risk Identifies risks, initiates risk mitigation actions, and prepares estimates to complete


• Information and communication - Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.


• Optimization - Optimizes own performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplications, coordinating information requirements.


• Internal control and documentation - Ensures processes and controls within own area of responsibility are designed and implemented in line with Group and unit requirements. Maintains proper audit trail and documentation for future tax/ internal/external audits and reviews.


• Compliance Ensures compliance with corporate , Business and country standards, regulations, and guidelines.

Your background

• Ideally, you'll hold a Bachelor 's Degree or Equivalent (Finance or Accounting, with ‎2-‎3 years of experience in project / Finance controlling.


• Fluent in English & Arabic is required.
