Supply Chain Manager

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Focal point of contact/key business partner for Operations in assigned location while also being the escalation point for the business for any Supply Chain issues in the area


• Manage and develop assigned Supply Chain team members. Ensure performance goals and objectives are set for assigned Supply Chain personnel and formal appraisals are completed as per company standards. Actively manage the training requirements for the team.


• Ensure efficient and effective services to rig operations to ensure all identified materials and services are planned and provided in a timely manner to mitigate risks and delays to rig operations


• Leverage relationships when expenditure with subcontractors and suppliers and initiate, manage new and existing frame/master service agreements for the assigned location


• Analyse key data on suppliers to aid effectiveness of supply of goods and services


• Actively work with stakeholders to identify optimal procurement strategies


• Work closely within the business division to ensure the most cost effective and technically correct solution is chosen to maintain quality of parts, equipment, or services and to improve delivery


• Provide technical knowledge to the development of commercial strategies and business opportunities


• Drive continuous improvement to streamline process and improve accuracy and efficiency within Supply Chain discipline. Provide cost and process improvements while optimizing quality and service


• Influence and implement relevant supply chain strategies and tactics in line with budget guidelines


• Manage KPI 's to ensure compliance with our service level agreement with Operations


• Lead resolution of procurement related incidents reported by stakeholders. Document problem, escalate amber or red flags related to Supply Chain support to appropriate Supply Chain Director or Supply Chain Leadership Team to allow effective resolution and future risk mitigation


• Ensure company policies & procedures regarding approval process, authority, SOX Compliance and FCPA are strictly followed.


• Support Strategic Sourcing with market and financial analysis consisting of spend data, basic marketing, and decision analysis.


• Lead team in quotations, bid evaluations, negotiations and award of major Purchase Orders and local Fixed Price Agreements as per Seadrill procedures. Maintain local FPA's where applicable.


• Coordinate major purchasing activities with Corporate Supply Chain including resolving of claims & contracts; assist Account Payables with invoice discrepancies where required.


• Maintain a general knowledge of Seadrill Supply Chain and Financial Procedures.


• Manage the Procurement process for assigned Operations. Ensure policies and procedures are adhered to by Procurement function personnel along with utilizing Global Pricing agreements.


• Ensure offshore warehouses are being maintained per standards and Rig Material Administrators are supported and trained to ensure that the company policies are being followed


• Where appropriate and aligned with Corporate Supply Chain plans run local sourcing projects, develop capable new supplier, and negotiate cost effective contracts without jeopardizing quality.


• Guide the reviews of freight costs and logistics processes. Manage necessary changes to improve processes, user experience and freight costs.


• Oversee the supplier spend and identify areas for savings and improvements.

Essential
* Advanced understanding of Supply Chain principles, processes and tools including logistics, commercial concerns, operational imperatives, and decision-making on global materials sourcing decisions.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements
* Bachelors ' degree from an accredited university in Supply Chain Management or related field
* Experience: ‎8-‎10 years' experience in Supply Chain, preferably in Procurement and/or P2P; ‎5 years' experience managing Supply Chain professionals and team leaders

Preferred

• Industry: ‎3-‎5 years ' experience in oilfield services, drilling and/or related manufacturing and construction industries


• Global Mindset: experience operating locally while reporting into a globally matrixed function


• Continuous Improvement Engine: experience within a multi-year Supply Chain optimization, and/or global transformation project.
