Role Purpose
The Commercial Controller is responsible for commercial and financial aspects
of the business to drive and improve performance. Specifically, this involves
analysis, interpretation and reporting of results including identifying
opportunities and applying commercial acumen to ensure timely and robust
decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Develop the strategy, analysis, valuation, consolidation, forecasting and
reporting for all businesses.
The ability to understand vendor contracts in depth.
Report on Purchase Efficiency to assist management in controlling.
Category reports compared with the relevant previous periods and budgetary
figures.
Demonstrated sound experience and solid practical understanding of VAT, WHT,
and other relevant local taxes.
To prepare a cash flow statement & monthly forecasting.
Prepare and review financial and strategic plan, from monthly, quarterly, to
annually
Lead financial analysis to support the commercial team
Drive P&L; improvement through performance analysis which leads to new
initiative implementation
Business partner to other divisions to increase profitability
ROI calculation, pricing strategy, SKU analysis, etc.
Drive revenue growth through market analysis, analyzing market position
Assist in new product launch analysis, both pre and post launch
Minimum Qualifications
Charted Accountant or Certified Public Accountant or Association of Chartered
Certified Accountants or Certified management Accountant or other equivalent
qualification
Work Experience
5 years’ experience as Commercial Controller or similar role
Knowledge
In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and
best practices
Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
Proficient in MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
