Scope and Purpose:
Under the general supervision of the University Librarian, part-time library
staff provides information services from the Information Desk, and by
answering telephone and email enquiries and subject requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Provides Reference/Circulation services at the circulation desk and assist users with finding and using library resources.
* Is responsible for library operations during evening and/or weekend hours when on duty.
* Provides specialized subject reference and guidance on citing information resources and using citation tools.
* Assist students and faculty with the circulation and use of reserve collection.
* Assist with day- to -day library work, including shelving, weeding, inventory, and processing of books and new items.
* Promotes information literacy among students and faculty.
* Provides 'first line' assistance with the computer equipment and library facilities.
* Performs other duties as assigned
A bachelor's degree in relevant field
