Description
Job Purpose
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the configuration,
implementation, and
maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Technology
department. He
should ensure the efficient and reliable operation of the systems and maintain
their availability and
reliability.
* Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the systems, including maintaining systems and all hardware and software packages.
* Assist in study and analysis of other departments needs and recommend priorities and changes to best fulfil those needs.
* Primary responsibilities include design and administration of server OS using.
* Ensure maintaining and tracking all changes to business services.
* Educate and give orientations to staff when needed on IT related issues.
* Provide regular back-ups for the OS and the databases servers.
* Follow-up with vendors and monitor new technology advancements and updates.
* Maintaining and resolve build failures.
* Conduct test analysis, planning, execution, evaluation and reporting.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge in OS clusters.
Good knowledge in systems management software (such as Microsoft SMS).
Good knowledge of the backup policies.
Good knowledge in UNIX/Linux OS/Windows
Experience in administrating Unix/Linux/Windows Systems
Experience in hardware servers (HP Gen 8, Gen 9/Oracle T5, T7, PCA, Super
Cluster/IBM Power 8/ EMC V-Block)
Experience in Microsoft products (Active Directory, File Server, SharePoint,
SQL Server, Exchange Server)
Experience in Citrix Applications
Experience in Virtualizations: VMWare, Hyper-V, OVM, LPAR
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
Prior Work Experience:
Minimum 2 Years of systems experience.
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.
Problem Solving:
Excellent communication skills and can demonstrate problem-solving skills.
Innovation:
Fast learner and reader with the ability to understand diverse technologies.
Skills & Abilities:
A strong work ethic, and is a team player with the ability to work well
independently.
Highly motivated and competent with decision-making ability
Very good communication and documentation skills
Team work spirit
CERTIFICATIONS / CREDENTIALS / MEMBERSHIPS / LICENSES:
Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE).
Microsoft Certified IT Professional Infrastructure is a plus.
Oracle Linux Administration, is a plus
Certified VCP
