Main Tasks
* Purchase material & services to ensure that the company's operational needs are met with the best price, quality and delivery terms. Ensure continuous supply of required goods and services
* Develop and maintain a strong foundation of functional skills and knowledge for the relevant purchasing category
* Support, supervise and provide technical and commercial assistance to procurement officers and local buyers
* Support Procurement management with the development and implementation of innovative and sustainable procurement guidelines, procedures and policies
* Identify opportunities for new and integrated supply agreements
* Monitor internal procurement systems and processes and ensure that compliance is achieved across the organization. Participate in the continuous improvement of the ERP system
* Undertake, complete and assist in specific procurement projects and provide ongoing monitoring
* Explore alternative sources for goods and services. Negotiate with new and existing suppliers to achieve economic savings and increased service levels. Actively participate in supplier performance reviews. Maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep good communications
* Monitor supplier agreements through key performance indicators and report on achievements
* Assist staff with queries and problems with procurement systems and processes, and address / resolve any non-compliance issues
* Monitor spending and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
* Generate regular and special reports for the Procurement management that summarize and forecast business activities
* Must understand, comply and enforce NMP Environmental, Safety and Health policies and applicable government Regulations
* Attend meetings and update procurement management on issues or concerns, in particular when there is a risk, which could prevent the organization from meeting customer demands
