JOB SUMMARY
CBRE is currently looking for a temporary Data Entry Clerk to assist our
Marketing and Communications team with a data entry project expected to take
approximately two weeks to complete. The work will require the Data Entry
Clerk to transfer data from hard copy documents to an Excel database, ensuring
complete and accurate population of the database. Familiarity with Excel is
required including formatting and basic calculations. The position will be
based in our Dubai office and is a short-term contract. Candidates must be
current residents of Dubai to be considered.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Tasks
* Transfer data from hard copy to a digital database.
* Update customer information in a database.
* Organize existing data in a spreadsheet.
* Verify outdated data and make any necessary changes to records.
* Operate common office equipment, like scanners and printers.
* Search for and investigate information contained in files.
* Input text-based and numerical information from source documents.
* Provide occasional administrative support.
* Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically.
* Review data for deficiencies or errors.
* Type in data quickly and efficiently.
Communication Skills
* Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
* Ability to respond to inquiries with a professional customer service orientation.
Financial Knowledge
* Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
Reasoning Ability
* Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.
* Ability to solve problems in standard situations.
* Requires basic analytical skills.
Other Skills and Abilities
* Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience
HS Diploma or GED required. Prior administrative, customer service or other
data entry experience preferred.
