As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for all activities relating
to ensuring compliance with the requirements set out by the regulatory bodies.
The activities include assessing risk, reporting to internal and external
stakeholders, training staff, and staying up-to-date on all compliance
matters.
To excel in this role, you need to have good critical thinking skills, the
ability to work independently/autonomously, along with experience in building
relationships with regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining compliance guidelines, documents, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence with current legislation on an ongoing basis


• Monitoring the conduct of business of all Company representatives and investigating any suspected breaches of rules or regulations


• Periodic reporting to the Company Executives and Board of Directors on risk assessments conducted and the overall state of the Company 's compliance with regulatory requirements


• Reporting to the regulators, both for defined periodic reports as well as any ongoing notifications required by the regulators


• Upholding a strict compliance culture in the Company


• Developing strategies for risk management and providing compliance advice


• Training Company directors, employees, and secondees to ensure that they are aware of their compliance obligations

Minimum Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Arabic


• ‎3+ years of relevant Compliance experience at a regulated entity


• Authorized Compliance Officer by a regulatory body (e.g. DFSA, FSRA, Central Bank of the UAE)


• Regulatory Compliance expertise


• Risk Management expertise


• Experience with AML policies


• Experience in communicating with and reporting to regulatory authorities
