Note: All applicants must currently hold or be able to acquire a UAE
residency visa to fill the position. For non-UAE national, the Mission assists

The Agricultural Marketing Assistant (senior level) is responsible for
representing the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Foreign Agricultural
Service (FAS) in the UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Afghanistan.
Responsibilities include preparing commodity reports involving data collection
and analysis of agricultural trade and production statistics, identifying and
resolving trade problems, managing budgets for activities, and performing
administrative tasks. The incumbent maintains professional and social
relationships with particular groups (working, mid, and high levels) -
technical and policy level government officials, industry representatives,
international organization, trade associations, and research institutes to
exchange information and gain cooperation on substantive trade and
agricultural matters.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Three years of work experience required in one or more fields of
agricultural economics, commodity trade, program/budget management, and
marketing analysis/research that includes analysis and report writing is
required.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics, Food and Agricultural Marketing,
Agriculture, Accounting or Business Administration is required.

LANGUAGE:
English level IV (Fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
Arabic Level IV (Fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: A valid driving license is required
