Position - Purchasing & Logistics Assistant3 years experiences in Import of
Food Ingredients/Customs Clearance/ Logistics formalities (international
level) Minimum 3 years of experience.
(Essential)Job Specific Skills: Review ingredients requirement received from
Management/Production, seeking clarification where necessary regarding
items/goods & their specification.
* Procure ingredients, machines, tools, consumables etc as per specifications to fulfil requirement.
Timely. Ensure that key items are procured at their best rates through
negotiation. Ensure documentations associated to the purchases such
Manufacturer 's Test Certificates, Material Safety data Sheets, user manual
etc as applicable are followed up and arranged. Material Requisitions &
Requests for Quotation Seeking quotations from vendors by sending request
for quotation (RFQ) as required to receive quotations of items/goods.
Reviewing offers as per required specifications (items/goods specification)
and highlighting ambiguous terms & conditions to the requestor.
Preparing comparison sheets collating received quotations where requested
Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers regarding items/goods rates along with
other terms & conditions such as payment terms, delivery period, mode of
payment etc.
Material Dispatch & Transportation Arrangement Strong & regular follow-up
with vendors to ensure safe and timely delivery of materials/goods/items to
project site. Purchase Order Reviewing the status of Open PO 's at intervals
deemed appropriate to align deliveries of the materials to the Delivery dates
agreed with the Vendor Notifying any held up on the PO to the requestor
against planned as required for aligning
* Arranging for the closure of all open POs based on the orders.
