JOB PURPOSE:
Manage, coach, and develop associates involved in servicing company policies
and contracts. Develop, communicate, and implement department vision,
strategy, goals, service levels and business objectives.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Oversee a unit performing various premium payment posting functions and reconciliation.
* Assist with development of department strategy and translate into unit goals.
* Responsible for training, coaching, and mentoring a mid-sized unit of associates.
* Identify key control issues, gaps in processes and non-value added steps within the unit processes to strengthen processes and controls.
* Responsible in making sure that all accounts owned by the team are certified as per periodic requirements and managed as per the documented governance procedure.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: __
* Initiate meetings / discussions with stakeholders such as Finance and IT to resolve issues identified during reconciliation and other system and process failures.
* Manage customer and partner escalations / complaints.
* Manage projects that impacts collection processes.
* Submit reports as required to Quality, Audit, Finance and Risk Teams.
FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:
* Empowered to independently manage escalations and implement process improvements.
* Follow appropriate Delegation of Authority for financial approvals.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
* 5+ years relevant industry experience in financial function.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or any related fields.
* Candidate must have experience in reconciliation of accounts.
* Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience as people manager and should have led projects as part of prior roles.
