Job Purpose:
The Finance function supports accounting, controlling and treasury needs of
COFCO International in close liaison with functional and commercial
stakeholders in Dubai and in the Region.
The HR and administrative part of the role focuses largely on compliance
management in the UAE regulated environment through supervision of 1 Admin
staff.
Key Responsibilities:
The Finance & Admin Executive is required to:
Perform accounting duties for monthly and yearly closing processes
Administer day-to-day cash flows
Submit monthly SAP BPC Financial Reports to the Corporate & Consolidation team
Provide accounting support for non-trade procurement activities
Book inter-company and third party trades
Allocate costs to group companies in line with service agreements
Participate in the annual budget preparation and submission
Manage the accounts payable function
Process payroll and allocate costs to relevant cost centers
File VAT returns in compliance with regulations
Ensure regulatory compliance in Dubai, including submitting regulatory reports
such as the Economic Substance Report to the Ministry of Finance
Facilitate both internal and external audits
Supervise office admin staff in handling general office, free zone compliance
and HR matters
Work with legal counsel to ensure all non trade contracts or professional
engagements are in line with company’s Contracts Policy
Work with corporate secretarial team with regards to any UBO compliance
requirements
Participate in UAE corporate income tax law trainings
What does it take to be successful in this role:
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting and management
Qualified accountant certification
Experience in UAE regulatory matters and associated administrative
responsibilities that meet compliance.
Knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
Ability to understand different operating businesses and dynamic working
environment.
Exposure to International Financing Reporting Standards.
Good analytical and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and good follow up skills.
Ability to work and deliver under pressure
Excellent command of English (spoken and written) with additional language
skills being a plus; especially Arabic
Literacy and working knowledge of SUN6 and Hyperion is an advantage.
