Our client is a global power leader manufacturing diesel and natural gas
engines, hybrid engines, generators, and electric power. They are looking for
an Account Payable Associate for an extendable contract of 12 months to to
complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing,
verifying and reconciling invoices.
Responsibilities:
* Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
* Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
* Maintaining historical records
* Posting invoices and credit notes and ensuring they're coded correctly in the system
* Preparing monthly supplier statement reconciliations
* Dealing with external and internal queries by phone and email
* Preparing cheques for payment
* Performing other ad hoc tasks as required by their supervisor
* Assist the finance team as and when necessary with other finance related work
* Build relationships with colleagues in the other business functions and raise
awareness of the proper Purchase to Payment process
Requirements:
* Previous experience working as an Accounts Payable Clerk
* An understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills is required
* Functional knowledge of database and spreadsheet tools, such as MySQL and Excel
* A degree in the following subjects would be beneficial: Finance or Economics, Business Studies or Accounting
* Detail oriented and organized
* Written and oral communication skills
* Problem solving skills
