We are looking for an Operations Executive - Maritime Logistics (NVOCC) to
join our company.
In Wilhelmsen Port Services, we provide our customers with piece of mind while
we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port
calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world,
we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. We match local
expertise with strict global standards, making sure we consistently make our
customers' port calls as efficient and safe as possible.
The Operations Executive - Maritime Logistics (NVOCC) will report to the
Operations Manager - Maritime Logistics (NVOCC).
About the position:
Provide Operational & administrative support to Port Services ML operations.
What will you do:
* Monitoring the pre-alert document received from Port of Loading office.
* Update the same in Liner software correctly for each Bill of Lading
* Once received load list from Port of Loading or Vessel Operator, cross check the containers and finalize the vessel.
* Submit the Discharge list to Port 24 Hrs prior vessel arrival.
* Clarify the queries of Customers related to their Import shipments.
* Co-ordinating with POL offices for any details related to shipments loaded from their Port.
* Co-ordinate with Vessel Operator Agents for vessel schedules and inform all concerns.
* Check with Line for Empty loading plan (prior containers fall into storage) and arrange space with VOA accordingly.
* For damage containers, get the pictures and details from Customers and send to Principals (EQC dept.) and get the confirmation to accept the containers in as it is condition or if any damage charges need to be collected.
Required Skills:
* 2 to 3 years' experience in Complete Containers / LCL / Project handling, customer service and project documentation. (AIR / SEA)
* Logistics & shipping Knowledge
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Familiar with Local Port Authority regulations, procedures and governing tariffs.
* Ability to multitask and organise under pressure without compromising safety of personnel and vessel.
* Good communication skills and command of the English language (oral and written).
* Strong mentoring and customer relationship skills.
* Self-motivated and result orientated.
