The primary responsibility of this role is to provide financial support &
business partner to Business Lines. Acting as a key member of the Business
Line focused on driving profitable growth, margin performance, and cashflow.
This position is fully responsible for the project billing process, including
responding to customer inquiries, verifying employee's chargeable time, in
accordance with the established accounting standards and billing policy. The
individual will be a key partner to the Operational leadership of the business
line and provide value-add analysis and advice for the sound fiscal management
of the business.
Responsibilities & Duties:
* Prepare and drive P&L performance for the Business Line to include actual, forecast, and budgeting financials.
* Manage and develop direct reports.
* Manage the development of EACs; identify financial deviations; monitor financial reporting; verify funding documents and status.
* Ensure Estimates to Complete are accurate and representative of operational plan • Drive cashflow performance for the portfolio, including tracking, monitoring, and forecasting.
* Ensure timely submission of all contractually required reports.
* Accurate and timely production of all financial information.
* Develop and produce monthly management reports for business unit and program management.
* Development of executive level presentations on business results, performance analysis, financial models, Forecasts and Budgets etc.
* Assess and report on business level risks and opportunities.
* Work with Operations to put measures in place to improve project gross margin and cash flows.
* Support annual budgeting and planning exercises.
* Petty cash, consolidation of cash ledgers and cash requests (expense reports).
* Developing creative solutions to business processes and procedures to meet the needs of the enterprise.
* Advise Operational leadership on financial topics and decision-making support.
* Support new business / proposals and project transitions.
Position Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or business-related fields.
* 6+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
* MBA, graduate degree, or CPA in lieu of years of experience.
* Experience in financial operations.
* Understanding of federal cost accounting and compliance.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with senior & executive management.
* Effective time management and ability to handle and control sensitive information.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced growth environment with ability to make sound business decisions.
* Experience to managing and driving teams for results.
* Experience in UAE, Africa and Middle East regions preferred.
* Experience with logistics, warehouses and catering services preferred.
