MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions is a global supplier of industrial
metal and plastic finishing chemistries. We primarily design and manufacture
chemical systems that protect and decorate surfaces. Our high-performance
functional coatings improve resistance to wear and tear, such as hard chrome
plating of shock absorbers for cars or provide corrosion resistance for

Job Purpose

The Senior Procurement Specialist executes local & site specific Purchasing
Strategy and mainly focus on purchasing of chemicals, goods and services to
ensure site operational needs, taking into account supply chain management,
price, quality, and delivery to ensure continuity of supply. This includes
assisting in improving supplier quality and resolve operational supply issues.

Job Responsibilities

‎1. Ensure Raw Material Supply Availability
* Work with operations team on material purchasing to support production. Ensure continuous of material supply.
* Escalate material supply issue and work with the team within region and globally on potential path forward.
* Provide material management data for review and feedback on potential improvement in material management process and planning.
‎2. Execution of the ESI Category Sourcing Strategy at the Site Level:
* Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified sourcing strategy, cost, quality and deliver targets; assess tenders and quotations from potential suppliers
* Deliver briefs, updates and reports as and when required
* Provide feedback to Purchasing/Sourcing Manager on sourcing strategies and develop ideas and strategies for improvements to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid in business performance and work towards continuous improvement.
‎3. Supply Base management:
* Proactively scan the market place for spend consolidation opportunities and initiate first level engagement with potential suppliers
* Drive and proactively maintain strategic partnership development with new and existing critical suppliers
* Identify, evaluate and implement opportunities which optimize costs at the site level, and drive projects in coordination with supervisor and sourcing managers.
* Ensure that contracts with regional and global vendors are actively managed in terms of pricing, rebates, quantities committed, etc.; must assure contract periods are tracked and maintained.
‎4. Other functions:
* Interface with Site Operations, Quality, R &D and sourcing etc.
* Ensure compliance to copmany quidelines, purchasing policies, and Quality and EHS procedures
* Support and participate in supplier audits to ensure compliance and minimize business risk, including supplier financial risk assessment and supplier business continuity plan.
* Mentor junior Purchasing Specialists in purchasing processes and negotiations

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or related fields.


• Possess strong procurement experience of ‎3+ years, focus on purchasing of chemicals.


• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, as well as demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels.


• Negotiation skills and experience in establishing and maintaining influential relationships with suppliers.


• Positive attitude, self-starter and proven ability to work effectively across all functions.


• Good Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills. Experience with SAP and/or JDE is a plus.


• Ability in speaking,reading and writing English.CET-‎4 certificate is preferred.
