What you will be doing
* Close follow up on collections, payables, stock, sales and net margin, challenge assumption and propose revisions
* Drive month end closing by analyzing trial balances, researching general ledger activity and variances to budget and prior year
* Closely coordinate with Back-office accounting team for timely close of the period and upload of result on Hyperion
* Develop and improve processes related to expenditure, appropriate financial methods to better evaluate and measure performance
* Support Sales and Marketing team in preparing PNL projections, Trade spent and marketing follow-ups
* Closely track and flag any over-spent in Controllable fixed cost and work with logistics on the logistics and other non-controllable fixed cost
* Analysis of promotional and commercial activity, providing insight regarding the key drivers of performance with focus on overall P&L.
* Prepare the Monthly Tableau de Bord (TDB), the Budget and the revised Budget TDB from individual company TDBs
* Monthly reporting to raise awareness of financial performance across the team and ensure plans are in place to deliver and where possible exceed budget commitments.
* Take the data generated by the Accounting Department (input) and transform it into meaningful management information
* Provide Internal Control, ensure compliance with all Group Policies & Procedures and assist departments in running their businesses
* Lead the internal and external audits and tax submissions
* Effectively communicate with all relevant teams and ensure a link with business processes regarding the financial planning process and CAPEX tracking.
* Evaluate the financial impacts of on-going business decisions and work with the team to develop recommendations and implement actions.
* Participate in Ad hoc projects that generate value for the business unit
* PO tracking: validate with commercial marketing teams monthly and ensure that PO's are GR'd and accruals are accurate.
What you'll need to succeed
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field.
* Strong analytical, finance, accounting and communication skills.
* ‎5-‎7 years of business experience with a background in luxury, consumer goods, retail distribution experience preferred with demonstrated ability to lead and deliver strong results.
* Experience in commercial or custodian role is preferred
* Experience with Hyperion Smartview/Essbase applications and SAP preferred.
* Be flexible with ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with all levels of management.
* Ability to work independently, under general direction and create organized work plans.
* Demonstrate creative thinking and good business judgment.
